OUR STORYAscénto, formerly Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee (HPGM), has spent 25 years creating connections and opportunities for Latino professionals across Wisconsin. Our story began in 2001, when a group of Latino professionals in Milwaukee saw a need for greater representation, opportunity, and community. They created HPGM, a professional network that grew into a place where Latino professionals could find one another, grow together, and build influence. Today, Ascénto serves more than 6,300 professionals and students annually, works alongside more than 100 partners, and has invested more than $1 million in scholarships since 2004. Through it all, the corazón of our work has remained the same: increasing economic prosperity and growing Latino influence for a stronger Wisconsin. Now, we're building on that legacy as Ascénto, expanding our reach across Wisconsin and creating more opportunities for Latino professionals and students to connect, grow, and lead.
